The taxi at Ibiza Airport
The taxi rank is in front of the terminal, on arrival, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis: you take the first one in the queue. The airport’s fleet consists of 69 taxis all year round, three of which are accessible to people with reduced mobility, and between June and September this is supplemented by a further 70, bringing the total to 139.
The Ibiza taxi does not operate on a fixed-price-per-journey basis: it by the meter, with a flag-down charge, a price per kilometre and a fixed surcharge for leaving the airport. Below is a breakdown of each component of the regulated fare.

Regulated tariff, approved on 29 April 2023. The date matters: this is a rate that is subject to review, and a price without a date becomes outdated without warning. There are no additional charges for luggage or the carriage of animals.
How is the amount you’ll pay calculated?
You can use these figures to estimate a journey, but it’s worth understanding the maths before relying on any round figures you might come across: you must always add the initial charge to the price per kilometre (€4.00) and the airport surcharge (€2.00), and the night-time and public holiday fare is 21 per cent more expensive per kilometre. In summer, moreover, traffic on the island causes journey times to be longer, and the meter continues to run even when the car is stationary.
