How to get from Ibiza Airport to Sant Josep de sa Talaia
The municipality where the airport itself is situated, and the gateway to the coves of the south-west.
It is 8.6 km in a straight line from the airport. By road it is a bit more: the figure that really counts is the bus journey time, which comes from the official timetable.
Sant Josep de sa Talaia is the municipality in which the airport itself is located, although the village is about nine kilometres inland from the terminal. It is covered by the AERO1 on the way to Sant Antoni: from the airport it is about 20 minutes.
It is also the gateway to the island’s south-west coast — Cala Vadella, Cala d’Hort, Es Vedrà — which is not served by any AERO routes: from the Sant Josep, you’ll need to change to local services or continue by car. If that’s your final destination, compare the bus with a hire car first.

If the bus isn’t suitable for you
The advantage of Sant Josep de sa Talaia is that the bus runs all year round, so the problem is usually not the timetable but the time: there is no service outside the first and last departure times. During that gap, the only option is the taxi —picking up passengers in front of the arrivals hall, without a booking, charged by the meter— or a private transfer at a fixed price.
And if you’re going to be travelling around the island a lot, compare prices first with a car hire: the ticket counters are located in the terminal itself, and no AERO services run to the northern and western coves.
