How to get from Ibiza Airport to Platja d'en Bossa and Ses Figueretes
The longest beach in Ibiza, right next to the capital and just a few kilometres from the airport.
It is 3.9 km in a straight line from the airport. By road it is a bit more: the figure that really counts is the bus journey time, which comes from the official timetable.
Platja d’en Bossa is the longest beach in Ibiza and the one with the most large hotels; it is less than four kilometres from the airport as the crow flies — it is the closest tourist destination to the terminal.
The AERO5 is the line that runs directly through it, with stops at Es Daus and Malacosta before terminating at Ses Figueretes, but only from 15 May to 15 October and from Monday to Saturday. Outside that time frame, or on Sundays, the alternative is the AERO2 up to Eivissa and change there, or take a taxi: it’s such a short journey that the airport surcharge costs more than the fare for the distance.

If the bus isn’t suitable for you
Keep an eye on the timetable: on Platja d’en Bossa and Ses Figueretes, the service doesn’t run all year round, so out of season you’ll need to find another way to get there. The options are the taxi —stop in front of the arrivals hall, no booking required—, a private transfer, or get to Eivissa first on the AERO2 – which does run all year round – and change there.
And if you’re going to be travelling around the island a lot, compare prices first with a car hire: the ticket counters are located in the terminal itself, and no AERO services run to the northern and western coves.
