How to get from Ibiza Airport to Formentera
Formentera does not have an airport: you can get there by boat from the port at Ibiza, and you can get to the port by bus from the terminal.
Formentera doesn’t have an airport, so You can’t fly there: you can get there by boat from the port of Eivissa, and the journey takes about 30 minutes by speedboat. This means the journey is in two stages.
First, from the airport to the port. In season, the AERO3 express does it in 20 minutes and leaves every half hour. Out of season, the AERO2 calls at the port on its way back from the airport. A taxi is quicker, but you have to count the flag-fall charge and the airport supplement.
Next, the boat. Timetables and prices are set by the ferry companies and vary considerably between summer and winter, so we haven’t included them here: you can check them at the ferry terminal or on each company’s website. It’s worth bearing in mind, however, that in winter departures are quite spread out, and the last ferry may leave much earlier than you might expect.

If the bus isn’t suitable for you
Keep an eye on the timetable: the Formentera bus doesn’t run all year round, so out of season you’ll need to find an alternative. The options are the taxi —stop in front of the arrivals hall, no booking required—, a private transfer, or get to Eivissa first on the AERO2 – which does run all year round – and change there.
And if you’re going to be travelling around the island a lot, compare prices first with a car hire: the ticket counters are located in the terminal itself, and no AERO services run to the northern and western coves.
