How to get from Ibiza Airport to Sant Jordi de ses Salines
The village closest to the airport, situated between the runway and the ses Salines nature reserve.
It is 3.4 km in a straight line from the airport. By road it is a bit more: the figure that really counts is the bus journey time, which comes from the official timetable.
Sant Jordi de ses Salines is the nearest village to the airport: just over three kilometres, between the runway head and the ses Salines nature reserve. It is the only stop along the AERO2 and it’s about 10 minutes at the terminal.
Due to its proximity, this is the area where many seasonal workers stay, and its location makes it the natural gateway to the beaches of ses Salines and Es Cavallet. As the AERO2 runs all year round every half hour, it is one of the few places on the island where the airport bus is actually useful in winter.

If the bus isn’t suitable for you
The advantage of Sant Jordi de ses Salines is that the bus runs all year round, so the problem is usually not the timetable but the time: there is no service outside the first and last departure times. During that gap, the only option is the taxi —picking up passengers in front of the arrivals hall, without a booking, charged by the meter— or a private transfer at a fixed price.
And if you’re going to be travelling around the island a lot, compare prices first with a car hire: the ticket counters are located in the terminal itself, and no AERO services run to the northern and western coves.
